Writing Help through the Writing Center


What the Writing Center can help with:

  • Reviewing final papers, offering feedback on introduction, paragraph structure and conclusions

How to get help from the Writing Center:

Peer Proofreading through the Academic Learning Center


What Peer Proofreading can help with:

  • Reading over completed papers
  • Checking grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Making recommendations to improve thesis statements
  • Ensuring correct paper format
  • Identifying whether you need to work with the Writing Center
  • Final review of paper before turning it in

How to get help from Peer Proofreading:

  • Stop by the Academic Learning Center
    • Monday - Friday 11:30 am - 1:30 pm in LB 331 and Monday - Friday 7:00 - 9pm in LB 3rd floor lounge by Career Services
  • Submit your paper through the Proofreading site on Brightspace

Peer proofreading is only available for completed drafts of papers and will point out issues with structure and thesis statements.  Visit the Writing Center for help with getting started and fixing larger issues.

Citation Help through the Library


What the Library can help with:

  • All styles: APA, Chicago, CSE, MLA, AMA, ACS, and more
  • Working with you to create citations
  • Checking citations, both in-text and end references
  • Basic paper formatting (margins, page numbers, etc.,) according to style format
