How to Book and Use the Presentation Practice Room
Remote for Camera (available for check out at the Circulation Desk)
Remote for the Roku (available for check out at the Circulation Desk)
One HDMI cable (one is available for check out at the Circulation Desk)
One laptop to run presentation to television.
How to Show Slides or Other Presentation Materials on the Screen
Turn on The TV, the power button is on the left hand side of the TV
Turn on the Roku?
Connect to the Roku
On Windows computers, press the "Windows" button and the "K", connect to the LB314 Roku in the list
For non-Windows computers or phones, use screen mirroring to connect to the Roku
When prompted on the TV to allow the connection, use the Roku remote and click "Ok"
Your presentation should appear on the TV
To disconnect, click the "Home" button on the Roku Remote.
How to Record a Presentation
Open the Zoom or Panopto available on the screen of the desktop computer nearest the TV
You can also record on your computer if you choose, so open the recording software on that computer instead.
Turn on the camera using the remote (check this out at the Circulation Desk)
This can also be used to adjust the zoom and position of the camera
Set up your presentation slides on the desktop computer or your device and connect your device to the Roku
Make sure that the camera is on, use the remote for the camera.
Make sure that the desktop computer nearest the TV is on, the power button is on the right side of the computer
If uses slides, make sure that the TV is on, the power button is on the left side of the TV
