Borrowing Policies

Marist students, faculty, and staff may borrow library materials using their Marist ID. Loan periods are determined based upon material and the borrower's user group. For a list of frequent loan periods, visit the Circulation Privileges page. 

Food and Drink Policy

  • Covered drinks only

  • Small and contained snacks

  • No food or beverages at Library computers

  • Dispose of all trash.

All other food and drink should be consumed in the lobby.

Gifts-In-Kind Policy

The James A. Cannavino Library is grateful for gifts-in-kind that support the Marist University curriculum or help fill in gaps in the collection. View the full gifts policy to view the criteria that will be used to assess gifts and determine whether they will be accepted:

Collaborative Rooms 

Collaborative Rooms are designed for group study for current Marist students. Priority use of rooms will be given to student groups who have reserved the rooms. These rooms can comfortably fit 2 - 7 people. The collaborative rooms vary in size and number of computers. Some collaborative rooms also contain whiteboards.
