This page represents a list of approved books for the Freedom Dream Project. You are not limited to those on this page, but you need to check in with Dr. Rosen about any that are not on the list. If you would like, librarians can help you locate the full text of books or short stories.
The books on this page include books the library owns as eBooks, hardcopy books on the shelf and books the library does not own.
If a book has a call number, it can be found in the library. If you click on the book and it connects you to the full text, it is available online through the Marist library.
If a book is marked as "Request through ILL/SUNY Resource Sharing," this means the library does not have access and you can use those services, starting with SUNY Resource Sharing(as it is faster) to request a hardcopy book from another library. Use that page on this guide to request the book.
If a book is marked with "Available at Mid-Hudson eAudiobook" or eBook, these are books that are available digitally as audiobooks or eBooks through the Mid-Hudson Library system, which the Poughkeepsie Library District is a member of. As students attending college in Dutchess County, you are eligible to apply for a library card online through the Adriance Memorial Library (Poughkeepsie). Use the link below to apply for a card.
Once you have a library card, you can search for book in the Mid-Hudson Library catalog to access the eBook or eAudiobook. An additional free account may be needed to download it to your device.
