To locate the Stock Report:

  1. Type in the name of the company in the search box (choose the entry with the Ticker Symbol)
  2. On left side menu, scroll down to the "Research" Section
  3. Select "Investment Research"
  4. Open the report by CFRA Equity Research.  The reports are 7-9 pages and include:
    1. Stock Summary with Highlights and Investment Rationale/Risk
    2. Business Summary
    3. Company Financials
    4. Sub-Industry Outlook

To Download a 10-K in Spreadsheet Format:

  1. Type in the name of the company in the main search box.
  2. On the left side menu go to the "Financials / Valuations" setion and click on "Key Stats"
  3. A tabbed spreadsheet will be displayed.
  4. The entire spreadsheet can be downloaded or just a single tab.

To access the full 10-K:

  1. Type in the name of the company in the main search box.
  2. On the left side menu, select "News, Events, Filings"
  3. Click on the menu option "SEC Filings"
  4. Click on the preferred format for the most recent 10-K.

What is in a 10K?

10-Ks are annual documents filed per requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  10-Ks include:

  • Business Description (very detailed)
  • Risk Factors
  • Properties
  • Legal Proceedings
  • Management Discussion and Analysis of Financial Conditions & Results of Operations
  • Financial Statements and Supplementary Data
  • Directors, Executive Officers and Corporate Governance
  • Executive Compensation

Investor Relations Websites

  1. Every company has an "Investor Relations' website.  The term "Investor Relations" is always used.
  2. Investor Relations site will have the following documents
    1. Annual Report or 10K
    2. Proxy Statement (described in separate box)
    3. Shareholder letters
    4. Quarterly Results
    5. Press Releases
    6. Corporate Governance Documents (Corporate Governance is generally a menu option)
      1. ​Certificate of Incorporation
      2. Bylaws
      3. Policies and Guidelines
      4. Committee Charters and Reports
      5. Values Statements and Codes of Conduct
  3. Some Investor Relations Sites also have:
    1. FAQs 
    2. Webcasts
    3. Earnings Conference Calls
      1. Audio
      2. Transcript
    4. Stock History
    5. Other goodies
