Using Your Laptop
If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, you will need to use the desktop computer and open your slides on there.
- Turn on the TV using the remote
- Plug the HDMI cable into your laptop and the wall port
- Connect your laptop to TV
- Press "Windows" button and "K" key
- In the right hand window that opens, select LIB 314 Presentation TV (this turns on screen sharing)
- This may take a few minutes and may say unable to connect (this is because it is looking for a Wi-Fi connection which does not exist). As long as you can see the computer screen on the TV, you are good to go
- Open your slides on the computer
- Put them into presentation mode
- The computer is set up to automatically extend the public facing slides onto the TV while presenter view will appear on the desktop computer.
- Follow the directions in the "How to Record a Presentation" box for recording as you go through your slides
