Citation Styles

A key component to avoiding plagiarism is proper citation.  For more information about citation, visit the James A. Cannavino Library Citation Style Pathfinder. is a web-based plagiarism detection service.  It is able to scan student papers and compare them to a vast database of books, articles, websites and other term papers.

At Marist College, Turnitin has been integrated into the iLearn learning management system.  This allows professors to use Turnitin's OriginalityCheck feature to analyze student papers for unoriginal content.
